Carlo proposed on a random Monday when we were supposed to be celebrating his win earlier that day. When the waiter moved us to the rooftop, I didn’t think much of it… but toward the end of dinner, we somehow ended up talking about politics and Pearl Harbor (because why not 😅). Out of nowhere, Carlo goes, “Speaking of bombs, I’m about to drop a bomb…” 🤣🤣 Before I knew it, he was down on one knee. I said YES!!! 💕💍✨

Our Wedding

Carlo and Jill first crossed paths on a chilly December evening, thanks to Jill’s neighbor and friend, Poonam, who invited her out for an impromptu night of salsa dancing. Always up for an adventure, Jill joined her at The Salsa Room, unaware that the night would change her life.From Jill’s perspective, she noticed a handsome and very charming gentleman who confidently offered to teach her salsa… even though, as she later discovered, he was still learning a bit himself. With help from their wonderful instructor, Lando, they laughed through the steps, talked with ease, and quickly felt a natural connection.From Carlo’s perspective, the night was just as unforgettable. After dancing with a few partners, he noticed a shy yet kind young woman standing off to the side with a drink in hand. Something about her immediately drew him in. He approached her, hoping she would say yes to a dance, and when she did, the conversation revealed they shared so much in common, including both working in tech.One dance turned into many, and by the end of the night, they exchanged numbers.But despite the spark, Jill wasn’t sure she was ready for dating since her life was hectic, and she didn’t believe she had the time. Her sister-moms, Elise and Kinosha, encouraged her to give Carlo a chance, reminding her she didn’t need to worry about rushing back to get her daughter. Reluctantly and with a bit of skepticism, Jill agreed to meet Carlo for a date at Boardroom. There, over games, laughter, and hours of conversation, something real began to take shape.And as they say, the rest is history…

Complimentary parking is available in the garage or in front of the building. Upon arrival, please let the front desk know you are attending the Hood–Anez Wedding. The distance from the wedding ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception at The Gala417 (2105 Great Neck Rd Virginia Beach, VA) is approximately 5 minutes with complimentary parking. For guests who prefer not to drive, a sprinter shuttle will be provided to transport guests from the hotel to the ceremony venue and reception. Please note, priority will be given to immediate family, elderly, and guests with mobility issues. Additionally, there may be a 10–15 minute wait while other guests are being dropped off. For this reason, we kindly ask that you be outside the hotel for pickup at 4:00 PM.

Post-Wedding Breakfast Please join us for a post-wedding breakfast on Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at The Delta Hotel (Lawn room), on the second floor. Please note: This is a grab and go/buffet style breakfast, guests can arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 AM.

Thank you for joining us on our special day. The room block at the Delta Hotel is now officially full and closed. However, there are several hotels along the oceanfront that still have rooms available for individual booking. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
